What do you mean unallocated?

I had asked a pc user friend with a fast connection to download
and burn it to me. She did a nice DL without interruptions and the
burn process had run smooth.

I have a Samsung 40 gb 7200rpm drive. The partitions are split in
this way: 2 gb for mac os, 15 gb for free space disk and 20 gb
dedicated to Linux, this linux partition is split at a 1mb ffor boot,
256mb for swap and the rest for the system and other files.

It is hard because there are almost no macs at my city and I am almost
a lonely mac user in my hood. And my mac os don't recognize my network
board for some unknow reason. :(
Maybe I go ask to someone dowload Debian or Mandrake and install their distros.
