YDL 4 onscreen volume display doubled

I get not one, but two on-screen displays when I use the volume
up/down or screen brightness up/down buttons on my iBook (newly
installed YDL 4.0).  I know that 'gtk-pbbuttons' is one of these,
but what is the other? I'd like to disable one or the other.
