Fine-tuning G4 ibook 1.33GHz graphics

Greetings,

I am seasoned with mac for 20 years and a newbie to linux.

Very little code experience beyond html web design.  Have some tuning to do with
my G4 ibook 1.33GHz with the ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 graphics card.

1. Refresh rate is not right has slow lines (no adjustment under system settings).
2. Dual monitor option is not allowing an "OK" after selecting my monitor from
the menu.

In an ideal world, would love to know what the code changes for a this ibook
"XF86Config" looks like.
