PCI Videocard in YDL 3.0

Hi,
I just installed an ATI PCI graphics card into my Starmax 3000. Linux 
recognized the card no problem but how do I get it to use the new card 
instead of the built-in graphics adapter? Also, when I first boot there is 
no video output so I can't even use the bootloader to select linux, so do I 
have to get MacOS to use the new card as well? How? Thanks.
