How about a newer GnuCash on YDL 3.0.1?

I've noticed many packages are old by comparison to versions in popular
x86 distros. I suspect that the next major version of YDL will be based
on Fedora and will have many updated packages.

I've installed the odd package from the Fedora PPC development
packages. Definitely not recommended but it has worked for me so far.

I prefer not to install from source where possible as the package
management (yum, apt, whatever your distro uses) no longer reflects the
current state of the system. I'd try building from source RPMs if
possible. I've had success there with a few packages that weren't
available through yum, most notably Inkscape which I've been using a
lot lately.

I don't use GnuCash but I'd really like to see new versions of Mozilla,
Evolution, Gnome, KDE, Gimp, Gaim, OpenOffice, etc. available through
yum. No rush. Just, you know, whenever you've got a minute. Guys?
