YDL working on 6400 based machine with L2 G3?

To get the G3 L2 or PCI upgrade cards to work, you need to change the
'Type' of the extension. Using 'Resedit', 'FileBuddy', or an
appropriate utility, change the 'Type' from "INIT" to "scri" (just
like the 'BootX' extension). Now the extension loads first, switching
to the G3 card before anything else loads. I know you have made it
load first, but you also have to change the type.

Also here's a link to an old thread that may be helpful.
