java support for ydl 3.01

Hello,

I have  j2re-1.3.1-3f.ppc.rpm installed to get java support in Mozilla 
and/or Konquerer. I have been working on it for hours, searched 
newgroup, lurked on irc channels etc. but I ran out of options.

When I open the local java-demo-site and try a link, an error message 
appears on the screen.

java.lang.NoClassDefFoudError: javax/media/j3d/SceneGraphObject

The output of uname -a is:
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.4.22-2f #1 Sun Nov 9 16:49:49 EST 2003 ppc 
ppc ppc GNU/Linux

I run ydl 3.01 on a G3 ibook 600 mhz and 640 mb memory together with mac 
os 10.2.8 with MOL

The mozilla version is:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux ppc; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20030228

The echo $PATH output is:
/usr/local/bin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/opt/lib/j2re1.3.1/bin:/home/erik/bin:/opt/lib/j2re1.3.1/bin

The output of the java console is a continuing stream of error messages. 
I didn't find a way to copy the stream.

Any help, suggestion or advice will be appriciated. I need a browser 
with java support so I can test a webenabled javabased chatserver. I 
don't care to install another browser for this purpose or downgrade the 
current Mozilla.

A last line: I can't find a way to reply to posts in the newsgroup. I 
don't see a reply buttom or something like that. What is the procedure 
to make a real reply in a proper way.
