vga out, ibook2, 8mb ati???

So, Am I out of luck for any kind of VGA output from Linux on my ibook?

>From what I've read on-line, I cannot determine if this works or not.
There is no concrete answer.

I don't particularly care if it's just a copy of my LCD display, all I
need it for is for presentations (to show off OO.org Impress's 3D
graphics presentations to my drooling Professors) and maybe the odd
movie.

If anyone has a moment to address this much discussed but unresolved
issue, I would be really happy.
