YDL installation issues with G5

Those are the G5 beta discs (notice the name), which I downloaded last Friday.

I purchased a YDL.net Enhanced account because it advertises beta G5 
ISOs. However, it won't boot my G5 XServe, much less install 
anything. And I can't buy installation support on this (beta) 
platform.

Which brings me to this mailing list. It seems I'm not the first 
person unable to resolve this issue:
