some general questions

yum remove will work if you know the actual name of the program.  The 
name listed in the start menu isn't always the name of the application. 
  Sometimes you have to search or look in /lib/usr to find the actual 
name of the app.  If you know the name of it yum remove will take it 
out no problems.
