DVD viewing on YDL 3.0

Actually, after a little Googling, it seems that the Creative labs DXR3 card 
MPEG2 hardware decoder) has support for linux/ppc 
(http://dxr3.sourceforge.net/), and can be had via ebay for around $10 (plus 
S+H).  The drivers seem old at the website, but it looks like xine has dxr3 
support out of the box. Anyone have any luck with this (or any other card)?
