Enable 3D acceleration on a Powerbook 1998 / ATI 3D Rage LT-G 215 LG

Hi,

i am searching for a hint to enable my 3D acceleration within KDE (YDL 3.0), 
having a Powerbook 1998 with 13" Display and a ATI 3D Rage LT-G 215 LG video 
controller. Can anybody help me?

At the moment i use the ati-driver (ATI Rage LT) with thousands of colours. 
This lead to another question, does anybody know if millions of colours are 
possible without having a vertical flickering line in the left of my display.
