Hi,

after upgrading my PowerMac G4 Silver from 2.4.25-ben1 to bk's 2.4.26, I =20
noticed a considerable slow-down of the system. In particular linking now =20
takes ages, and the system is so unresponsive that playing a cd (using =20
xmms) in parallel is impossible due to lots of drop-outs. I also noticed =20
that kupdated sometimes takes as much as 8% cpu time, whereas it is almost =
=20
always at zero for '.25.

A second problem is that USB frequently goes offline. No response from the =
=20
mouse, the kb or both. Plugging them off and on again gets them back to =20
life. The kernel config is identical for both versions, btw.

Any ideas about the reason?

Cheers, Albrecht.
