How Much HD Space for Linux?

On my itsy bitsy teeny weeny file system, I found that I have to run yum
clean quite often. It makes a big difference. I can then freely download all
the pr0n^H^H^H^Hastronomy of the day pictures I want. It's less than 2GB
leaving me with about 550MB for astro pics.
