I am building Linux kernels on a PowerBook G4. I find that when I build
a Kernel with Enhanced RTC enabled in the configuration file(using make
menuconfig after make mrproper), attempts to boot up the resulting
kernel result in the bootup hanging at the "Configuring kernel
parameters" prompt. Does anyone know why this is happening ? Is there
an alternate approach to enabling a Real Time Clock?
