Installing Gtetrinet

Hey , Gtetrinet complains that it can't find libgnome. According to apt-get , 
libgnome is installed and the newest version.
$ apt-get install libgnome
libgnome is already the newest version.

$ ./configure
etc etc etc some texthere that goes fine
checking for libgnome-2.0 >= 2.0.0 libgnomeui-2.0 >= 2.0.0... Package lifig 
search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libgnome-2.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'libgnome-2.0' found

I really liked Gtetrinet on YDL 2.3 but I can't install it on 3.0.1..........
