Oh, I agree with you that Xfce compared to KDE is faster.  But it's
like comparing a Porsche Boxster to a Chevy Suburban.  I personally
like the porsche, but I sometimes need a suburban.  Can't haul 8'x4'
sheets of plywood on a porsche ;)
