I have an old powermac 8500 laying around and I thought it'd be fun to install Linux on the machine. I have a copy of YDL 3.0.1 and when I try to boot from the CD (holding the 'C' key) the machine boots from the installed system on the internal hard drive. On my iMac, as well as my G4 DP 867, the cd boots fine. Any ideas, anyone? Thanks george
