Xserve problem

dear group,

i'm running YL (sirus) on a G4 Xserve,

all goes very well but when i'm coping some big files (200mb) from one
disk to another i'm encountering allways the same problem: the IDE buffer
has an error (full IDE buffer) and the kernel tries to reset the IDE
channels then the system crashes.

How can i manage solving this problem?
can anybody help me?
