12-inch iBook G4 support?

Hello,

Someone I know is looking to buy one of the new 12-inch G4 iBooks and
wanted to know if anyone has had *any* success getting GNU/Linux of
any kind on it.  We're talking the 1GHz G4 with the ATI Mobility
Radeon 9200.  An unreliable source told me that the ATI card has
changed slightly with no indication and that wavy lines are present
when running X.  Anyone know anything about this?  Anyone get any
distro running on it?
