Xfree86 hangs on G5

Trying to install yellow dog 64 bit beta version (3.0.1) on a Dual =
Processor Mac G5. Everything goes smooth until it gets to the =
installation of XFree86-4.4 and it gets stuck. Can you give me some =
pointers on this.
