What version of yum and from where? Sounds like
you are trying to
install a newer version of yum built on a newer
version of python.

As you have probably guessed by now, linux newbie
here. I have been
an
M$ guy for many a year now, recently made the
switch to OS X, now got
YDL on an old Powerbook for when I travel.
Now to my point....I am trying to load up Yup for
RPM management, but
when I try to I get the message"libxml2-python is
needed by yum...".
I
tried typing "apt-get libxml2-python" with no
luck. Could someone
tell
me the best way to get this installed.
