OT: tibook keeps making clunk sound

Your hand rests on the DVD/CD-RW drive. I have had problems with the 
CD-RW drive that result in multiple unsuccessful accesses, each of which 
results in a "clunk." Do you have a CD-ROM in the drive? Does the sound 
change if you remove the CD, or if you insert a CD?
