Sound on PowerBooks

At 06:31 PM 11/12/2004, Daniel Gimpelevich, had this to say :

>The sound issues you describe on your 3400c are apparently how sound is
>supposed to work in 3.0.1, and it is safe to say that sound "works" on
>your machine.

Don't get me wrong. Sound does work but none of my other Linux
based computers requires me to manually restart services in order for those
services to load the settings I have specified.

I still remember getting my ATI All-In-Wonder 8MB PCI video card
to finally work in RHL 6.something and then after an update to the latest
6.x series, it stopped working! So I am familiar with distro quirks and how
annoying they are.
