 I've been thinking the same thing for a few days.  I imagine with all of 
the sudden fanbase, *someone* would be running an Ubuntu list.
 And indeed they are.  A couple links deep on their site, I found this:

 I'm sure they'd love to hear how great Ubuntu is.  I don't particularly 
care.
 But, to quote the tclug-list, "Hey look! a dead horse! Let's beat it!"
