Anyone using Gnome on YDL 4.0?

I have a TiBook and a 12" iBook. I have tried installing YDL 4.0 on both
of them. During the install I select the "custom" packages then I
uncheck all of the KDE stuff and check the Gnome stuff and continue on
the install. After all is done, when I boot, I get KDE. Even when I boot
to level 3 I cannot get Gnome to run from the command line switches for
startx. 

Does anyone on this list use Gnome? If so, did you need to do anything
special to get it working in 4.0?
