dual drive

In the companion to installing YDL 3.0.1, page 2, they write: If you
are installing YDL on a second drive it is advised that the YDL drive
be placed second and jumpered as master. The Mac OS drive should then
be placed first on the IDE chain and jumpered as slave.

In the same chapter of the companion YDL 4.0 there is said that the YDL
drive must be placed first as master and the Mac OS on the second.
Nothing about the jumper!

Has the difference to do with 3.0.1 and 4.0 ?

Can anybody tell me what is the right place for the drives and how they
should be jumpered.

Thanks in advance

H. Ornstein
