Keeping apps open without any windows open

I suppose. I'm thinking more of the what OS X does. The icon still exists,
the app's in memory, if you click on the icon a new window pops up (of
course, this would require the panel to be a bit more refined... perhaps I
ought to give KDE a try again (wasn't at all impressed by its GUI
behaviour... gotta turn off the pont to select window)).

Eric.
