Caviar 2540 disc

I have an old disc I would like to use.

It does not init under os 9, but it writes drivers etc, I can see
with pdisk.

Under linux I managed once to make the disc a swap partition,
but it crashed...

I have set the disc as master, slave and cable select.
Should I try another combination?

I have a G3/266.  I would like to use this 515Mb disc
to  put os9 on it, so I have os9/osx on different discs/partitions and
can use mol with both..
