I'm working on it, there are a lot of issues I need to work through. 
Currently reading more than I've ever wanted to know about open
firmware.  One of the booting linux w/o mac os faq's still requires a
system folder from an OS Cd > 8.0.  Using quik also needs a working
mac os partition.  Not to boot, but to configure, once configured you
no longer need mac os because you boot from the OF.  It's looking
like one can not get rid of the mac os completely on an oldworld mac.
