Thunderbird 0.8.x, Firefox 1.0x

First off, Matthias, thank you for your quick response!
I installed both Firefox 10.0 and Thunderbird 0.8 you built.
After a quick glance here are my findings:
- Firefox, works perfectly, everything is as it was with the older version.
- Thunderbird 0.8.x will effectively migrate all mail settings from
mozilla, PROVIDED THERE IS NO PROFILE CREATED YET. In my case, I had a
thunderbird 0.6 profile, and hence I was not asked to migrate. This is
easily solved by removing the .thunderbird directory from your homedir.
I figured this out however, after I did a manual migration based on a
faq found on the Thunderbird website.
But this is my clumsiness, not Thunderbird's. So far it works flawlessly.
- When I try the menu item "Release Notes" or "Thunderbird Help", I get
an error message:
ERROR: The browser specified in Preferences -> Preferred Applications
does not exist.
I'm not sure what I should do with this error. There is no Preferences
menu option, and no Preferred Applications option either. So I don't
know where to set this.
For the above menu items, this is not really a big issue. I didn't need
these options, but the bigger problem is, this error also pops up if I
click a link in an e-mail message.
Any ideas where to configure this ?
Thank you. Again, I'm very happy with the new versions.
