Yellowdog Linux vs. Power Mac G4/G5

Yes, I need YDL 2.3 because our software team is currently developing 
products with this version and I am merely hoping to replace a broken 
machine (iBook G3) with a slightly better G4.  Eventually the team will 
move forward with a more recent Linux release on our next generation of 
products.
