iso for external firewire

Does anyone know when the install iso for external firewire drives is 
going to be posted to the mirrors? Seems  as though it has been more 
than a month since the announcement about pre-installed drives and 
enhanced account availability. I've given up trying to make it happen 
on my firewire drive. I can get to a partial boot but then it always 
fails on finding the root partition on the external drive.
