[ydl-gen] usb scanner not detected

i've added the following line in /etc/fstab :
none                    /proc/bus/usb           usbdevfs  defaults        0  0

however when rebooting i had the following message "usbdevfs" isn't supported by the kernel.

then, i suppose this trick is for usb ram-keys ???

any idae on how to see the scanner ???
