How disable 4.0's GUI boot?

Hear here! (The declarative "listen in this location").
On my mandrake boxes, the friendly frenchies feel it's the correct thing -
boot up with no clue of what the heck is going on. I yank out bootsplash as
soon as I can. And then I turn on the framebuffer and make sure it boots at
1024x768 at least.
