[RANT] Why is KDE the default in YDL?

Is Mr. Staats the KDE user in the company then?

Back in YDL finally - took a few goes with the recovery console to
force it to a very, very dirty install as I didn't want to lose data.
My memory of Mozilla randomly slowing down in KDE has been proved true
again - I thougth maybe it was a Debian/x86 issue...

GNOME feels like.... a hybrid of OSX and BeOS. Its fast, and its
clean. KDE feels like a cheap Windows clone - Breadbox Ensemble,
anyone? (not sure if you have that the other side of the pond,
relatively modern attempt at a GEOS based OS, used in Nokia cellphones
and on desktops by very strange people..)
