Suspend for iBooks and PowerBooks - Good news or Old news?

Is there any (important) difference between the "kernel in yum" with a stock 
2.6.9 kernel, which is what I am using?  You or anyone got a known working 
2.6.{9,10} .config I could use for comparison?
