RFC: YDL Extras

Everyone,

So there has been some chatter about YDL Extras... but we need
manpower... here is how we're planning on doing it.

1) Packages are submitted via CVS by some trusted person. This will be a
small group, hopefully all community members. If you're not in this
group, you can post a URL of the SRPM you wish to submit to the yet to
be created ydl-extras mailing list.

2) The packages are built with our internal build system via a cron job,
if a new package is built... an email is sent to the ydl-extras mailing
list stating the package has been built and contains URLs. We'll also
have a yum repo of the testing repo packages.

3) If 3 success reports and no fail reports are reported to the list,
the package is deemed stable, and moves to the staging server where
it'll be mirrored on the real YDL servers.

4) The world gets to enjoy more great YDL packages.

Interested in helping out? Well... let me hear about it! If you wanna
chat about ideas/what not... come to #yellowdog on irc.freenode.net. I
cant create mailling lists, so we'll have to wait until the TSS sysadmin
can.
