Success with Kino?

I have Kino running on my Powerbook 3400--well, let us not say 
"running" --"crawling" or "creeping" would fit better--I think I need a 
G4 or better.  I can play my .dv file at 1 frame a MINUTE!!  But 
(surprise!), it runs faster on my 450 Mhz G3 running OS X (using 
XFree86, of course) when I run it with a SSH -X getting the program 
from the powerbook--that runs at TWO frames a minute!  Using SSH -X was 
fun, but I think I better give up on Kino!
