Success with Kino?

I have Kino running on my Powerbook 3400--well, let us not say
"running" --"crawling" or "creeping" would fit better--I think I need a
G4 or better. I can play my .dv file at 1 frame a MINUTE!! But
(surprise!), it runs faster on my 450 Mhz G3 running OS X (using
XFree86, of course) when I run it with a SSH -X getting the program
from the powerbook--that runs at TWO frames a minute! Using SSH -X was
fun, but I think I better give up on Kino!
