Correction: The MacOS portion of the drive will not be affected IF AND
ONLY IF you don't tell pdisk to wipe it!  pdisk can find and look and
the MacOS partitions and reveal where they are...that's part of it's
job.  But it can also wipe it completely unless you are very careful
with the commands you tell pdisk to execute.

AGAIN any changes you make to any location of the Linux partition using
pdisk requires of FULL reinstallation of YDL.  Likewise making any
changes to any location of the MacOS partitions using pdisk will require
a FULL reinstallation of the Mac OS.

If you make changes to the Linux partitions but not to the Mac OS
partitions then you only need to reinstall completely YDL.  Likewise if
you make changes only to the MacOS partition, but not to Linux then you
only need to completely reinstall the Mac OS.

That should be clearer.
It won't perhaps make you happier, but sometimes clarity is more
important!
