YDL 4.0.1 ibook G3 won't work after sleeping

My ibook G4 1.2ghz  will wake up with a screen saver or a blank screen
in KDE.  Yet, if I close the top it stays slumbering and I must reboot. 

Hey Scott, at least you have sound working on your G3.  Mine is still
NG!  :c(
