We haven't received many requests for JRE for YellowDog Linux.
Although we haven't tested, yet the existing version should work fow
this platform too.

Can you try to download/install the existing JRE version for Linux from:
http://java.com/en/download/help/5000010500.xml

A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
Dear Sir or Maddam,

I'd love to use Java on my platform but unfortunetly it isn't open
source nor is there a build for my linux distro of YellowDog Linux
(http://www.yellowdoglinux.com) :-(. So I was wondering, if I give you
guys secure ssh access could you please build Java for my platform? Me
and the rest of the YellowDog Linux community would greatly appreciate
