[ydl-gen] Hardware Fault?

I have two G5 Xserves running YDL and recently one of them has started
issuing the error message

Error -14 reading CPU 1 exhaust fan !

The other one has just dropped dead and in the logwatch output it sent to
me before it died it reported these messages as well.

Has anyone else seen this? Is something broken?
