[ydl-gen] Firewire install question

I don't think it's the drive.  If the controller isn't detected
and the modules loaded, everything down-stream (ie, disk, partitions, etc..)
doesn't really play into it.

I don't have those particular machines, but have forwarded it on to
some that do.  Should have an answer back in a while.
