I would recommend SuSe, is amazing right now!

OpenSuSE is a good distro, and the Suse Linux Destop Enterprise plus
SuSE Enterprise with SLP services and managed using zen, what a
networking deligth!

SuSe CAN be configured to use yum and even there is a kyum a kde yum
package...

I´m testing SuSE rigth now, for the OpenOffice 2.0 issue, I´m not as
happy as yellowdog (waitting for the next release to switch back), but
I´m not unhappy...
