[ydl-gen] cd and dvd player crashing

Mind describing the crash?  Does it lock up and become unresponsive?  Does the
mouse still move? Does the window manager close?  Are there any error messages?

Does the drive work with a data cd/dvd? And finally, what system are you running this on?
