This is very odd, I didn't see it when I did my upgrade testing so I
tried a yum install bind\* and here was my results:

Installing:
 bind-chroot ppc 30:9.3.3-0.2.rc2 updates 36 k
 bind-devel ppc 30:9.3.3-0.2.rc2 updates 2.5 M
 bind-libbind-devel ppc 30:9.3.3-0.2.rc2 updates 461 k
 bind-sdb ppc 30:9.3.3-0.2.rc2 updates 243 k
 caching-nameserver ppc 30:9.3.3-0.2.rc2 updates 53 k
     replacing bind-config.ppc 30:9.3.2-20.FC5

Updating:

 bind-libs ppc 30:9.3.3-0.2.rc2 updates 902 k
 bind-utils ppc 30:9.3.3-0.2.rc2 updates 178 k

You can see yum removing bind-config and replacing it with
caching-nameserver. Why this works for me and not you I'm not sure of,
can you show me your yum.conf? I'm guessing it doesn't have the
obsoletes=1 line.

Kai, can you post a note on the website about the fact that line is
required? I saw a similar issue posted on yellowdog-board and the lack
of obsoletes=1 would explain both issues.

Cheers,
Owen
