[ydl-gen] is Yellow Dog Linux for PS3 32 or 64 bit?

I'm a bit confused whether ydl 5 for ps3 is 32 bit or 64 bit.  I have a
vendor who wants to know which flavor of ppc linux I am running.
 

"uname -a"  seems to suggests it is 64 bit:

Linux viterbi 2.6.16-20061110.ydl.2ps3 #1 SMP Tue Dec 5 12:35:42 EST
2006 ppc64 ppc64 ppc64 GNU/Linux


... but I'm confused because the programs I've compiled have 32 bit
pointers.
