Clarification: Nothing special was required in order to run YDL41 on a 
G5 XServe.  When the video board and keyboard is installed in the 
machine, I just inserted the CD, held down the C key, and proceeded with 
a normal install.  I usually use the "headnode" variety of the hardware 
to build the OS, and then transplant the HDD to the "node" variety of 
the hardware -- I haven't tried installing from a USB or Firewire CD.

What is your hardware like?  If you're using the "headnode" hardware, 
then my first suggestion would be to download the CDs again, and check 
the downloaded ISOs with md5sum.
