No, the initial boot-up with my ''14 Apple plus is fine. That is, it boots as far as the command-line prompt "Booting..." Then I hit the RETURN key for the GUI installer as the installation instructions stipulate. It is at this point that the screen becomes unintelligible, it's like there are hundreds of vertical lines flashing at once.
